The Jesus Collective Strengthening Communities with Hope through Worship
Johannesburg, South Africa, 9th September 2023 — The award winning gospel music group, Jesus Collective is excited to announce a transformative event aimed at bringing hope and positivity into the heart of Manenberg in the Western Cape. Titled "Spring of Hope for Manenberg," this gathering, featuring headlining performances by The Jesus Collective, acclaimed artists Dumisani and Alton Zakay, as well as the emerging group Vertical Pursuit, will take place on the 30th of September 2023, commencing at 11 a.m.
This free event to the public, convened by Doctor Randall Ortel, Manager of Medical Services at Karl Bremer Hospital, will take place at the junction of Thames Avenue and Sabie Road, conveniently situated opposite Sevens Park.
"During this program, we don't just sing; we worship and exalt the name of Jesus," shares Hilton Petersen, founder of The Jesus Collective. "Our purpose is to stir up faith, bring joy and encouragement, believing in the transformative power found in His name. We're uniting to pray for His protection over the beautiful Manenberg community, keeping it safe and filled with hope."
The group extends a heartfelt invitation to all, not just in Manenberg but from neighbouring towns as well, to join them in this mission, inspired by the wisdom of 2 Chronicles 6—a journey that seeks to rekindle the love that people have for their first and most important love, Jesus Christ.
"We hold the firm belief that events driven by this vision and mission are instrumental in our efforts towards Crime Prevention. As we witness the enthusiastic participation of local churches within the Manenberg policing precinct sharing our stage, we are confident it will ignite inspiration within the community," Dr. Randall Ortel passionately emphasises.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to create a comfortable seating arrangement on the grass. Food and refreshment stalls will be set up by local churches in the area, and we encourage attendees to support them, contributing to the upliftment of the community.
